Forgiveness to all
He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.

First Thoughts
From the beginning of human history, through Abraham and Moses, the earliest scriptures all pointed out that the Christ had to suffer and die. But after that he would rise victorious over death and now offering eternal life to all who will receive it from him. His disciples witnessed and testified to these great events, accessible to us in the New Testament.
